This is another delightful piece by Johann Sebastian Bach. It is from the Second Suite for Orchestra in B minor. It was originally scored for flute and strings. This arrangement has the soprano saxophone playing the flute part accompanied by the remainder of the quartet.

Maffick
Maffick comes from the 1899 to 1900 siege of Mafeking, South Africa as part of the second Boer War.  The British troops were outnumbered and trapped in the besieged city for 217 days until reinforcements arrived from England.  When the siege was finally over, there were immense celebrations in England creating the verb "To Maffick" meaning to celebrate both extravagantly and publicly. This composition was originally for middle school concert band. This recording is for saxophone quartet.

The President's Concert March
This march was written for the annual President's Band Concert at Messiah College, Grantham, Pennsylvania.  It is a grade 3 march with a singing trio.

Cinnamon Kisses
This is a middle school band arrangement of a Marshall Brown composition for the 1959 Newport Jazz Festival Youth Band.  It is a slow blues in which all players have the same rhythm.  The piece is a delightful way to teach jazz style in the concert band setting.

Christus Praestabilis
Christus Praestabilis was composed for the Messiah College Concert Choir, Linda Tedford, Conductor.  It is based on the motto of Messiah College, Grantham, Pennsylvania "Christ Preeminent" (Col. 1:18).
Solo Instruments

Muse and Frolic
This composition is for English Horn (Muse) and Oboe (Frolic) with Piano accompaniment.  It may also be performed in it's entirety by Oboe and Piano.  It was written for Toni Marie Marchioni for her Masters Recital at the Juilliard School of Music. A transcription for clarinet and piano or saxophone quartet is also available.

Cumulus
This composition is a dreamy little piece for elementary harp.  The success of Cumulus prompted the writing of a set of short pieces for beginning harp titled "Ten Bagatelles for Lever Harp".

Capriccio
This composition is for solo clarinet based on a theme by Prokofiev. The piece was comissioned by and dedicated to Beveryl A. Butts, Professor of Clarinet at Lebanon Valley College.

Escapade
This composition is for clarinet and piano. It is written in traditional style much like the solos of Klose. The piece was written for and dedicated to Beveryl A. Butts, Professor of Clarinet at Lebanon Valley College.
